Update August 2026

OUTDOOR - The new gravel overflow parking lot has been completed and is already helping accommodate our growing attendance. The new kids' playscape has been selected and planned, and installation is scheduled for this fall after the summer day camp concludes. We look forward to creating another great space for children and families to enjoy.

MISSIONS - A total of $40,000 has been sent to our mission partners in Uganda and Guatemala. We are excited to share that both projects have now been completed—the community gathering structure in Uganda and the pastor's home in Guatemala. These facilities are already being used to strengthen ministry, serve their communities, and advance the Gospel.

LOBBY - You'll begin seeing a lot of activity in the lobby throughout August and early September! The proposal for the new glass wall and doors has been approved, and materials have been ordered. We're also sourcing new furniture and finalizing the remaining design elements. We're excited to see this space transformed into a more welcoming and functional environment for our church family and guests.

MORTGAGE REDUCTION - $18,300 was received for mortgage reduction beyond our original $150,000 Made For More goal. To be good stewards of these funds, this money has been placed in a high-yield certificate of deposit (CD) and will be applied toward our mortgage when it is refinanced in 2027. This allows the funds to continue growing while preparing us to make an even greater impact on reducing our debt.

SANCTUARY LIGHTING - A contractor has been selected, and we have received a proposal to complete this project. We have also submitted the project for funding through a grant we have been awarded and are currently awaiting the grantor's decision before using the Made For More funds. Regardless of the outcome of the grant, our goal is to begin this work during the fourth quarter of this year.

WHAT IS MADE FOR MORE AND WHAT ARE YOU ASKING ME TO DO?

.First and foremost, Made For More is a discipleship journey. We want to deepen our understanding of who God is and our response to Him in every aspect of our lives. When we see who God truly is, we freely respond with surrender, generosity, trust, and worship in every area of our lives. We want you to continue to grow as a disciple by attending Sunday services, serving, growing in prayer and Bible reading, joining a Life Group, and making a difference in your local community.

Next, Made For More is designed to help Friendship move vision forward! There are 5 key elements of a five month vision for Friendship.

Financial resources make the vision possible, we invite you to pray and discern how God would ask you to give to this vision. Allow Him to inspire and challenge you toward greater generosity.

WHEN DO I BRING MY COMMITMENT CARD?

There are multiple opportunities for you to bring your commitment card. The first opportunity is at a Vision Night on either Wednesday November 5 or Thursday, November 13th. These nights will be full of worship, prayer, celebration, and give a core group of our church the opportunity to be the first to commit to Made For More. If you fill out a card at one of the Vision Nights, we are going to ask you to fill it out again to lead the way and inspire others on Commitment Sunday November 16. The entire church will have the opportunity to commit to Made For More on Commitment Sunday. If you can’t make it in person to commit you can do so by clicking the commit button at the top of this page.

HOW LONG IS MY COMMITMENT?

We’re asking that you commit to this five month Made Fore More Season beginning in November of 2025. “First Give” for Made For More is Sunday, November 16th. So, the Made For More fulfillment giving season is five months from November 2025 through March 22, 2026.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM REGULAR GIVING?

Made For More is above and beyond our regular generosity—it fuels the vision and initiatives of the Made For More campaign, and it's vision to advance ministry in this season.

WHY IS THE SANCTUARY PART OF THE INITIATIVES?

Our building was constructed in 2009, and technology has advanced significantly since then—especially when it comes to lighting. At the time, the best option was to install compact fluorescent (CFL) and halogen spotlights in the auditorium. However, halogen lights have since been discontinued, and many of our CFL fixtures are no longer working.

After careful research and evaluation, we’ve determined that the best solution is to hire a specialized electrical contractor to replace the outdated halogen fixtures with modern, dimmable LED lighting. This upgrade will improve reliability, efficiency, and the overall worship experience.

WHY IS THE GROUNDS PART OF THE INITIATIVES?

Our gravel parking lot expansion is an important step forward in this exciting season of growth. As Sunday morning attendance continues to rise, our parking area has often reached full capacity. To meet this need, the new gravel lot was completed in September 2025, just before the weather window closed.

The project was initially funded through our existing Building Fund, with plans to reimburse those costs through Made For More donations. The Building Fund exists to cover large or unexpected expenses related to maintaining and improving our facilities and grounds.

WHY IS THE LOBBY UPDATE PART OF THE INITIATIVES?

The lobby serves as the front door of our church—it's the first space people experience when they walk in, and we want it to make a warm and lasting impression while providing room for continued growth.

Planned improvements include refinishing the concrete floors, removing the main counters, repainting the walls, and adding comfortable seating areas with new furniture. Additionally, we plan to remove the wall to Room A (the “Living Room”) and replace it with a movable glass wall. This will allow the space to open up on Sunday mornings for more connection and flow, while still being able to close off for Life Groups and meetings throughout the week.

WHY IS MISSIONS PART OF THE INITIATIVES?

Friendship Church continually wants to have a Great Commision focus. Part of the Made For More campaign is giving back to our Global Partners, Servant Ministries (Guatemala) and For Love Ministries (Uganda).

Servant Ministries - Fund the construction of a parsonage for the Tunucco, Guatemala church. Tunucco is a mountain village about a half hour from Servant Ministries Center, that has a called pastor that does not have housing in the village. The pastor is currently having to travel hours up and down dangerous roads to pastor in this village.

For Love Ministries - Fund the construction of an open air gathering structure for meetings, fellowship, Bible study, prayer, praise and more! This will be their first official ministry center structure and will serve as a vital gathering space from which the ministry can grow!

WHY IS MORTGAGE REDUCTION PART OF THE INITIATIVES?

Friendship Church is carrying a $730K mortgage, that is due to balloon and refinance in 2027. We would like to pay down this mortgage with at least a $100k payment prior to refinancing, to reduce the interest payments. Any money received, over and above the $150K primary goal will be applied towards mortgage reducution.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL WAYS, BESIDES CASH, THAT I CAN GIVE TOWARD MADE FOR MORE?

Be creative as you explore ways you and your family can give towards Made For More. You might have stocks, cryptocurrency, donor-advised funds, or other giving methods. Or you may have stored resources (savings, real estate, personal possessions, retirement accounts, etc…) that God has blessed you with and we invite you to prayerfully ask God how He would have you give out of these stored resources.
