Rooted provides the opportunity to connect with God, the church community and your purpose in unexpected life-changing ways. Beyond a program, seminar, class or small group, Rooted is a catalyst for life-change. Rooted provokes questions and conversations and offers a beyond-what-is-comfortable group experience designed to give you a glimpse of your story in God’s story. Rooted is the on-ramp to Life Groups and Friendship Church!
Rooted is an 10-week experience offered twice each year (Fall & Winter). Cost is $50/person,
which includes the book and all materials.

What is Rooted?
Rooted is a pathway to strengthen your connection with God, the church, and your purpose.
What's the difference between Rooted and Life Groups?
Rooted is the on-ramp to Life Groups. At the end of the 10 weeks your Rooted group may become your Life Group or you may decide to join a different Life Group. We strongly suggest you go through Rooted before joining an open Life Group.
What should I expect if I attend Rooted?
A group of people just like you committed to encouraging each other through this discipleship journey. Rooted is for everyone, regardless of background and experience. You will meet as a group weekly for 10 weeks, discussing that week’s daily encounters and growing through discipleship experiences which include:
- Groups of 8-12 people meeting once a week, to share and discuss insights and questions prompted by the material.
- Daily Reading and Reflection — Each week guides you through five days of reading and reflection.
- Prayer, Serve, and Celebration Experiences — during the 10 weeks the group will spend time extra time together to pray, serve, and celebrate. All are rich and rewarding experiences.
What if I can't make it to all 10 weeks?
We realize that Rooted is a large time commitment, but we believe it is worth it! Due to this belief, if you know you are going to miss more than 2 of the 10 meetings, we ask that you wait to register for Rooted. The ten weeks are a cumulative experience so we ask that every participant commit to honor each other by being at every meeting.
How will my group be determined?
Our Rooted team will prayerfully place participants into groups of about 10-15 people. We group by age, marital status, and life stage. We form groups of married couples, singles (not co-ed), women, men, and young adults. These groups ultimately depend upon the demographic of those who registered. A substantial amount of prayer and thoughtfulness goes into creating groups which we think will provide the best experience for all people who attend. While we do our best to honor requests when possible, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all friend or leader requests.
Is childcare available?
We try to offer childcare for every Rooted session but it depends on availablity of childcare team. When childcare is available for children ages 3 months old through 5th grade, The cost is $30 per child for the full 10 weeks (or $3 per week per child).
How much does Rooted cost?
The cost for Rooted is $50, which includes all sessions, your workbook and all other materials, and the large group gatherings, including the Celebration dinner at the end of the 10 weeks. This breaks down to just $5 a week!
Are scholarships available?
We believe that Rooted is a life-changing experience and we want everyone to participate! We understand the Rooted registration fee may be a burden for some and we are happy to provide scholarships. Please send an email to rooted@friendshipchurchinfo.com with your request. The Rooted team will evaluate your request and send instructions on how to register.
Where is Rooted held?
Rooted groups meet at the church in their own classroom or space reserved for your group.
When will the next Rooted session be offered?
The plan is to hold Rooted sessions in Fall, Winter, and Spring, with registration opening approximately 6-8 weeks prior.
